Bread for the World

Here in East Central Indiana as well as across our nation hunger is a major concern.  The causes of hunger are rooted in poverty and in the lack of opportunity for low-income families.

In 2010, the national organization, Bread for the World, is focusing on domestic hunger.  One of its strategies is to submit to Congress an Offering of Letters urging that the needs of low income people be given top priority as tax changes are being considered.

Who will write these letters?  You and I – we who are seeking to live beyond the sanctuary.

How will we do it?  The Sunday after Easter, Roger Howard, from Bread for the World, will provide background information, sample letters, paper and pens, and mailing details.  Your individual handwritten letters will influence legislation to alleviate hunger.

Join us in Fellowship Hall, April 11th, during the Sunday School hour, 9:45 – 10:45 AM.
