Keith K. Webster, 94

MUNCIE - Keith K. Webster, 94, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Westminster Village.

He was born October 24, 1914 in Kansas, Illinois the son of Roy and Zella (King) Webster.

Keith graduated from Farmland High School where he grew up, and after high school, he worked for his father at the Randolph County Enterprise Newspaper.

In 1942, he enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater being honorably discharged in 1946. Keith then started working with First Merchants Bank (previously, Merchants National Bank), managing several branches and retiring in 1977 as Assistant Vice President.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Kiwanis Club in Muncie and fifty year member of Masonic Lodge in Randolph County. Keith's love of reading and writing came from his youth with his father and his interest in journalism.

Survivors include his son, Brent Webster, (wife, Leslie), Muncie; two grandchildren, Suzanne and Sean Webster.

He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Lois M. Webster.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Dr. Ronald Naylor officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until service time Monday, February 1, 2010 at the church.
