Stephanie M. Back, 44

MUNCIE - Stephanie M. Back, 44, passed away Friday, October 9, 2009 at her residence, following an extended illness.

She was born August 10, 1965 in Louisville, Kentucky and moved to Muncie in 1987.

She worked as a school teacher in the Muncie Community School system. She was a Mary Kay Consultant and received national awards.

She enjoyed most her time with her husband, family, and friends camping. She also enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Stephen Back; son, Stephen Baugh; 2 step-children, Stephanie L. (husband Matt) Roberts, and Alexander M. Back; father, Howard C. Miller Sr.; brother, H.C. (wife Kate) Miller Jr.; sister, Rachel M. Reccius; 3 nieces, Savanah M. Reccius, Rebecca M. Reccius, and Maggie L. Miller; nephew, Ryan J. Miller.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mickey (Smith) Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at First Presbyterian Church 1400 West Riverside, Muncie, IN 47303, with Dr. Ronald Naylor officiating.

Burial will take place at St. Michaels Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or New Hope Hospice 730 West 35th Street, Marion, IN, 46953.
