Stewardship

How is God Calling You to Serve?  God has freely given us gifts of time, talent and money, and we are responsible for using them wisely.

What kind of stewards are we? Imagine Jesus standing before you and saying, “Go forth and serve.” How will you respond to the call of God in your life today?

We need you! There is work that only you can do, and gifts that only you can share and give.

What are they? We need people to:

  • pray for our church
  • teach and lead in Christian Education
  • sing or play an instrument
  • make visitors and guests feel welcome
  • help care for members who are in need
  • serve in mission

In short, we need each of us to be a good steward of our time, talents, and gift to share God’s grace with one another.

EVERYONE COUNTS!

Each year in October we ask that you complete and return a Financial Commitment Card.  You may now find this form online. We ask that you pray about the coming year, and then complete the 2025 Financial Commitment Form.  Please return this paper copy to the church office.

Will and Estate Planning

Did you know you can plan now to give to the Church?

Any First Presbyterian member or friend of First Presbyterian Church who includes the Church in his/her estate plans with a planned gift that will come to the church in the future is called a Legacy Partner. Such a gift will continue to support the church and its ministries long after the donor is gone. Each person’s generosity is very much appreciated and is an example for others to follow.

How can Legacy Partner Planned Gifts help the Church?

Planned gifts are investments that safeguard the future growth and stability of First Presbyterian Church. Endowments in the form of bequests and special gifts provide for the needs of the church both today and after one’s lifetime. The allow us to be stewards now and after our lifetimes.

Planned gifts may be designated for specific purposes.

How can you become a Legacy Partner?

You can partner with others in positively shaping the legacy of First Presbyterian Church when you make a planned gift in any of the following ways:

  1. You can include First Presbyterian in your will with a bequest.
  2. You can set up a charitable gift annuity for First Presbyterian.
  3. You can include First Presbyterian in your trust.
  4. You can make an outright gift to the Endowment Fund.

Please contact the church office to discuss gift options and opportunities.
